“Hitotoki” is brewed exclusively with Niigata-grown Gohyakumangoku rice and fermented in traditional wooden vats. It offers a gently sweet, layered aroma and a silky, mellow texture with a well-rounded, mature character. Its gentle flavour wraps around the palate, bringing out the cozy character of the wood. A Gold Award in the Junmai category at the 2019 Milano Sake Challenge—the first international sake competition held by the Italian Sake Sommeliers Association. It also received a Platinum Design Award at the same event, as well as recognition from Topawards Asia in 2019 for its outstanding packaging.
The name “Hitotoki” (ひととき) evokes a moment shared between “people (hito)” and “trees (ki)”.
