The Saito Shuzo brewery has been running for more than 110 years in Fushimi, Kyoto.

In 1905, the “EIKUN” sake was adopted as the company’s corporate brand name. Since then, the finest quality sake has been produced by Saito Shuzo Brewer known as “EIKUN”.

About ICHIGIN

IWAIMAI – KYOTO’s SPECIAL brewing rice-

Sakamai, or rice used in producing Sake, is quite different from the regular rice consumed for food. The grains of Sakamai are much larger, thus making the growing process more different. They require more water, nutrients and protection from harsh weather conditions.
IWAIMAI is one of the special Sakamai in Japan. Only SAKE maker in Kyoto is permitted to use IWAIMAI.
